P2 or P12r/s

I currently have 3 P2's running my rooflines,mini trees, arches, spiral trees and candles.

I am going to work on my Matrix next, which will consist of 10 rows of this 30 pixel per meter strip. Each row will be 3meters long for a total of 90 pixels, so a total of 900 pixels.

My question is, would there be an advantage to run this through a p12r/s rather than with a p2? Is there a performance difference? Anything else I may not be aware of?

The one advantage that I can think of offhand is when a pixel blows on the P2 the rest of the line goes out

In saying that.....I have a 24x50 matrix and I am running the whole thing on one P2, 1200px

power injection may also not be required with a p12 as you could run each strip off an output, seems like a waste of outputs tho....

I am running a 60 x 25 matrix off 2 x p2 myself and so is Lithgow I think

Thanks for the replies. I am going to get another P2 to run my matrix. Also I decided to make it 15 rows of 90. Just waiting to get the invoice from Ray.

Running a 136 x 10 matrix on a single P2 here too. Works perfect!
