Has anyone experienced poor audio quality from their Pi this year?
Last year with the same setup and same mp3 tracks, i had good audio quality being transmitted.
I could pick it up on all my radios and it sounded great.
This year though, I have tried adjusting the gain of the transmitter and lowering the volume out of the FPP, but I am finding it is distorted.
The only change to my whole setup is that I updated to the latest version 1.8 of FPP
Could there be a difference in there? Or should I be looking deeper into the problem, maybe rfi or something?

I had issues with sound quality on my pi last year running 1.6 and it was intermittent.
This year I bought one of the cheap USB sound cards and plugged into pi.
WOW, what an improvement! Cost was 3$ from china and to tell the truth I never thought it would make a difference but it is very noticeable, audio is as clear as can be.

Hmm might get one also. Sound not as good this year- getting distorted. Acceptable with Pi volume down and amp vol up but sounds like ( pardon pun) sound card is the way to go.

Good to know it is not just me :p
I thought I might have had another problem, but will order a sound card now.
