Pixel Strobe Controller

The outcome was that the PIC micro I chose didn't seem to be able to run the 2811 protocol strings. ACL member JustinJ came up with a solution using an Arduino I believe.
 
Thanks David. Reading a little on the strings, if I used normal WS2811 controllers with say LSP, I should be able to "stobe" those leds without any special hardware?

You'd be able to flash them yes. The limiting factor is the shortest time you can leave the pixel on for.

I think I read that Ed from J1SYS has added strobe functions to some of his pixel controllers.
