Simple soldering support for cable joining

I've discovered this excellent support method for quickly soldering large cables together (without having them move around)... One metal fixing plate + some strong hard drive magnets.

Positioning the join between the gaps also lets you can get the iron under it too.

Great idea mate ! Amazingly strong little magnets them never had a use for them but did collect a few for no reason ! but will definitely give it a try !

Ive had good luck with the little pcb holders from Jaycar bit like this one.I love how everyone has there own way to solder its very interesting too see the different techniques.

I just use my fingers to hold each wire, then get mad and cursy and sweary when I start to burn my fingers cause the wire has decided to just start wandering away from the other wire for no reason then I have a weird join that I have to do again once the wires cool down and I go for a smoko break hahaha. Works 99%of the time.

i just twist them together and solder them after not as neat a join but far easier
