Working on talking faces to mount on some of our mini trees . My plan is to use 12mm x 3 mm aluminium strip bent to shape and riveted. Then fit some edge lit strip.


Starting to make the frames

Frames are all done. Main issue is to design them so that the 50 mm cutting distance on the LED strip matches the frames.

Next step is to finish fitting the lights and set up controllers etc. :cool:

Can you show us what leds you are using, a close up or link would be good.
 
You can see edge Lit LED's

These are SMD 355 strips IP67 120 LEDs/m

Have temporarily mounted on my wire frame trees (purchased from Bunnings 2 years ago and knew they would be handy some time) which will soon have LED string or pixel outline

Managed to get them talking with XLights today :cool::cool::cool::cool:
 
Thanks, I saw you wrote edge lit led's at the top, but have never seen them before.
I must look out for them, They would definitely be a lot easier to mount on various props.
 
they would be easy to yo be made need a scolle die or solid pipe with a cut or draw it up and take it to a gate place
