Target have just put out their lights for 2016. No prices on them as yet.
Still Mirrabella branded.

Interestingly they have a roll (yes it comes on a roll) of lights labelled as 'Heavy Duty.' Uses heavy gauge wire and larger LED's. Might be worth checking out depending on their pricing.

A roll of lights, you say? That brings back memories with the Bunnings incandescent lights on rolls (sold by the metre iirc? I never bought them)...

Did you see whether these 'Heavy Duty' lights are static/steady-on or does a set come with a multi-function flashing controller? If there is a flashing unit involved, fingers crossed there are at least 3 wires so that they can be connected to a dc controller without the issues that 2-wire multi-function light sets have.

Pretty sure I saw the same set on Saturday and the Heavy Duty caught my attention, however I think that there was only 2 wires connected to the plug that connects up to the controller, however only had a quick look but I believe all 2 wires from on.

Can't remember if what their wiring/functions were like unfortunately. I'll report back next time I'm in there.

I noticed there were jumbo sized LED strings too. Like the old style lamps, but much larger.

I'm confused. Are the jumbo and the heavy duty lights the same thing?

Judging by the photo, I think the jumbo light set is wired as a single channel so it should work with an ordinary DC controller. Worth checking before buying though.

They've finally put them on the website...here we go:

Not possible to be 100% sure without seeing them but I am guessing those heavy duty lights are the 2 wire type that's incompatible with most controllers. I have never heard of a compatible colour changing light set.

Ok, this is ironic and gut busting funny at the same time...
50 Heavy Duty Switchable LED Fairy Lights

Really? Sorta like Jumbo Shrimp. Government Intelligence. Only choice. Random order. Clearly confused.

WHen I started reading I was thinking in my mind C-5, C-7, C-9. Maybe even M12. But Fairy lights? Heavy Duty.
Heavy Duty Fairy Lights. They actually put those terms together in a product description.
