Im not quite sure I understand what the benefits are of using one of these?

My 3 LOR controllers that run off my current LOR-USB dongle run my 240v, Faces & a few other things.

Sounds like the original dongle with the RS485 chip swapped out to a slightly higher spec'd one?

The USB485-HS is the choice when you plan to use the highest speed (500K) for your LOR network. The other LOR USB adapters were designed for speeds of 250K or less. However they appear to work well at 500K so if you have a working 500K network using one of the other USB adapters there is no need to change. The USB485-HS is designed to work at 500K speeds.

DMX runs at 250K so I don't see any advantage. In fact, the higher speed rating chips can actually be less forgiving of non terminated cables and wiring shortcuts.
