I've been writing a few simple web based tools that may be of interest to ACL members.

They are on my da-share web site in the Calculators section.

There's stuff to help work out DIP switches, pixel current, voltage drop, etc.

Please let me know if you find any bugs or have suggestions for new tools or improvements.

Thanks David. It's now added to my favourites. I can see myself using it a lot.

David, can you look at this calculator, and see if you can modify it for the current real world (for some of us at least) where typically the flow is:

- pigtail ( typically 22cm or 50 cm) - hard connected to controller going to a female 4 core plug
- pigtail ( typically 22cm or 45 cm) - 4 core male plug hard connected to cable
- cable run (typically 5 to 10 m)
- pigtail ( typically 22cm or 45 cm) - hard connected to cable going to a 4 core female plug
- pigtail ( typically 22cm or 45 cm) - 4 core male plug to hard connection on pixel string.

Pigtails either .50mm or .75mm wires (Ray Wu style)
cable run could be anything from 12 AWG to 24 AWG

The following calculator deals with a very simplified version of the situation described above. (Only two different wires prior to the pixel string)
