What about mega tree strip? I’m using lots of it for fences. I’m making up some mounts to put every 1-2m to keep it from twisting.

I started building some additional differential receivers boxes today, one of six complete.
Whats the (assumed) external 5v for on the left side in the second pic.
Power injection, should it be needed
Swapped the HE123Mk2 that was in this case with the HE123D prototype that was on my development board because in running more receivers this year.
Fortunately only one more gland had to be added, as 4x xConnect pigtails were removed from the original design.

This weekend my mega tree pole got an upgrade with a winch to help lift the heavier star + topper. It hasn't quite worked as planned due to the placement of the star causing the topper to lean forward and get jammed on the pole when trying to lower it. Works fine when raising while the winch cable is tensioned, though. So some modification may be in order, otherwise the star won't come back down again 
.

I had the same issue with mine. The solution was to attach a steel cable to the rear of the topper, which can be pulled as the topper is lowered to keep it level.
I also use it to stop the front sagging when in operation.

Perhaps in the next few days or at the weekend I'll finally be ready to start putting out lights for this year. How is everyone's setup going?
For the past several evenings I have been removing meters upon meters of old 'Christmas light extension cables' (figure 8 cable with 2.1mm round barrel connectors) that were buried under probably up to 15 years of ground-cover
, These old cables have been used for years to power/control single-colour dumb led strings and were left in place between seasons to simplify display setup. With intended changes to this year's show most of these old cables will not be required any longer (at least I hope 
).

Have hardly done anything the last month. So much else on. I’m not yet behind if I get my mini trees made up this weekend.
Also my pool light fittings and Shelly PMs arrived so I have suns playing to do…
Had some fun building a new power injection box for the singing elements. These will only have a data run from the controller and all power will come from here.
Also gives me a couple of extra outputs should I need them elsewhere.
Picked up this box from Bunnings for $15. Not a bad one I must say. I was hoping to get the slightly shorter one but they were out of stock.

It's been awhile since I did anything due to being very busy lately with life but thanks to the chat room I was inspired to do some work.
I made a couple GE Preying Spiders, a couple of GE Zombie flakes as show here. Also, made a couple of spiral trees (One of them snuck into the photo) but we all know what those look like. You can see the 2 p5 matrix panels in the background that only need to have the outer case put on them.
I have big plans for this week, I'll need to find out how it turns out.
