I'm currently aiming to have everything up and working on December 6th. It is just a time that's likely to work in my situation as I've learned that a month of lights is too long for me. In 2009 I started my static display just before the start of December and thought it looked a bit sad and finished toward the end because everyone had seen it already. The sun and rain wear things out so I prefer not to have the lights up until there are more viewers. There's also a family who SERIOUSLY helped make my static display bigger and they are going travelling after the 6th so I don't want them to miss out. It is a Friday so it is also a good day to invite family and friends around for my first ever sequenced lights. On Saturdays that time of the year they often have other invitations. That's just my plan and reasons why. It is interesting to read other different ones too.
