Hey guys im just about to build a few of the mini trees from the stock pot. Ive not used 1 inch spaced seeds before and my current automotive Irwin brand wire strippers are ok but a bit chunky for this fiddly job.

Any reccomendations for something more suitable on the thin gauge seed wire.

Many thanks.

best way i found was to leave them sitting around for a couple of years and not use them 😂

you need to waste a pixel at each end cutting the wire hard up to that pixel your going to waste in turn giving you the longest length of wire possible
i would VERY strongly recommend soldering holder thingy with a long arm out of the work area
sadly i gave up on them as they were to hard to work with

I find the irwin works fine, just turn the little knob down from "kill" to "stun". After you do that, sometimes you need to use the xacto/craft knife to separate the conductors, they don't always pull apart easily like the bigger wires do... so maybe fugley is onto something there, especially since they make premade strings now :). Or there is the approach of crimping them into the connectors.

Once cur, you might just want to depend on the heat from a soldier pot or a soldiering iron to melt back the plastic a bit. Since you are in Aus, i think these might be very handy while working with the seed pixels. These look easier to use than trying to soldier little bits or wire together.

i really wondered about going down the road of a form of "led strip joiners" once
i know were all trying to keep water out but the thought was this would be much faster & easier and then give you something to work with
then maybe resin the joint
