LPD6803 is a 5-bit LED Driver IC for RGB Pixels from Qiancai Electronics. The IC is separate from the LED package and requires a clock line to operate.
This IC was more popular in the infancy of RGB pixels. These days it is used less often as newer ICs with improved colour rendering ability are widely available such as WorldSemi's WS2801 (with clock) and WS2811 (no clock).
