Hi Members,

Does anyone were I can purchase a LED message board/panel/unit that has programmable message functionality? Also much be waterproof. I'm looking at displaying my FM frequency channel on it for my display this year. Haven't been able to find anything suitable on eBay.

After using one like Oz mentioned, this year I built my own with P5 panels. Way more expensive with panels than the scrolling sign. I found the panels gave me more real estate to work with compared the the scrolling sign. Just my opinion.

Something like this? LED Scrolling Sign 100cm x 20cm

Of course everyone else on here will tell you to build your own :D

Yeah I've seen those LED message boards on eBay, they don't have any IP rating, so I doubt they could last long when been exposed to water.

As for building your own, hey I'm all for that, if it's worth my time. If I can get something off the shelf that does the job, and it's value for money, I've got other projects I could me focusing more on.

BTW, (you'll get a kick out of this) I actually own and operate a small electronic manufacturing business in Perth, www.convergence-e-s.com.au

Did it not last?

P5 panels are a pretty good idea,

Yes it lasted but was limited to what I could do. Did not have the flexibility of Panels using FPP

Bought one of those LED scrolling signs. I just wanted a standalone sign to replace my old m5 bulbs one, that displays Tune To without having to build enclosures or anything. Easy to program over wifi so can change message easily. For $120 delivered to my door in a few days ready to run I'm quite happy with it.

I've also got a bigger full colour one which I bought a few years ago, then blew the board on :( , I'm thinking of fitting a colourlight card to it so I can connect to xLights
