My show was up and running without issue for two days.
One of my pixels in the middle of a string seems to have died, it does light up and all the subsequent pixels have wrong colors and/or stay on.
How could this have happened? Is it common? I dont want to start chopping into...

I have 200 strings connected to a RPI-28D but I can only get the first 170 to display through xLights.
In FPP I have the output set to 200 pixels - and if I run test display they light up correctly - so far so good.
In xLights I have the controller set with 2 universes of 510 so there...
Depending on your network router you may be able to allocate a static address based on the MAC address (e.g. tied to the hardware). Alternatively, you can click the static IP address within FPP and force use of the same IP address.
To control from xLights, the FPPD Mode needs to be "Bridge"...

What is considered best practice for providing power to the junction / project box? I am having trouble finding a waterproof (IP44?) socket that would be suitable. Do others just run a power lead out of the box?

I am planning to run a string of 1000 pixels using two different PSUs. According to my calculations, I will need to inject power every 50 pixels, so I am thinking I will make some T connectors which I would like to wire in a standard a fashion as possible.
Why should the +ve be connected...
