Hi Everyone, John here from Ink Creations. We are excited to say our Pre sale has started today and will be running for a month. We are bringing in some of Your Pixels stores products this year including the Following
YPS New and Improved Pixels (WS2811)
YPS DUO Pixels (Genuine GS8208)
YPS...
Hey There,
I am looking at buying around 1000 pixels worth of GS8208 bullet style pixels.
I was planning on buying them from Ray Wu, but have seen various reports on this forum that his WS2811 bullet pixels were unreliable last year.
I was wondering what people's experience is with Ray's...
I am wanting to change the pixels on my Mega tree as repairs are almost impossible to pixels with dual control wires. I can get GS8208.
Can I control these and what protocol do is set Xlights to. My controllers are Falcon F16V3. Any help would be great before I place any orders.
I became quite interested in the GS8202 after having been originally motivated by this thread.
Now that it's really becoming urgent to get my pixel order in for 2022, I made the time to compare the sample GS8208 purchased earlier this year from Shenzhen Shiji Lighting with the 5V WS2811...
12V GS8208 IC strip with gamma correction versus another IC type without gamma correction side-by-side comparison. Possibly WS2815 since strip is 12V and cuttable every single LED.
This thread will be about 2022 testing of the GS8208 based pixels and like Ryan's excellent thread some comparison numbers.
Please read all the great info in Ryan's thread for more than I will type up...
'5 volt versus 12 volt, which one do I choose?'
How many times have you seen someone ask the above question? More than likely they are not sure whether to buy WS2811 5V or 12V RGB pixels. Well how about a third contender, GS8208 12V pixels? Not all 12V is the same, as it turns out! Spoiler...
I see some questions from Alan ,and i find out the answer
1. If you lose 1 led out of the RGB does the pixel go dark with no colours shown or does it just show the other 2 colours.
Once the pixel show with the dead-colour, the the pixel will go dark with no colours shown . For example, if R is...
hey guys, I found a new kind of pixel, and I do some test on it .It seems so interesting
Traditional 5V/12V smart pixels
5V smart pixels aren’t a good idea because they are non-uniform brightness. They can’t travel longer distance without further power requirements.
Therefore, a 12V +...
Hello, everyone. I am Success come from China. Our company is Genesis Systech. We are a professional supplier of integrated circuit solutions. We have developed classical chip products independently: GS8208, GS8206.It's a privilege to have technical exchanges with you.
GS8206 is an 8-bit LED Driver IC for RGB Pixels from Genesis Systech. The IC is separate from the LED package. The number of LEDs controlled by one IC can be as high as 7, for 24V versions. It incorporates gamma correction giving an effective colour de
GS8208 is an 8-bit LED Driver IC for RGB Pixels from Genesis Systech. The IC is integrated into the 5050 LED. It incorporates gamma correction giving an effective colour depth of 12 bits for enhanced colour blending, particularly with dimmer colours.
The GS820x Pixel strip has an automatic test mode feature if no pixel SPI data is received. Handy for testing - but could this be annoying if you want no-lig...
There's new LED pixel strip out with GS8206 and GS8208 chipsets! So with just a datasheet and very limited info online about it, I ordered 75m of GS8208 and am hoping for the best. This thread will demo my findings with it.
This GS stuff is made by Genesis Systech and is protocol-compatible...
