We are adding a couple of more elements to our display

Firstly some modular matrix panel from Extreme Lighting Displays https://www.extremelightingdisplays.com.au/shop/matrix/modular-matrix-panels/

We are fitting these as horizontal matrices in front of our planter boxes (each 4 metres long)

Made a simple conduit frame to mount the matrix

Found the modular matrix panel easy to work with as easy to cut to length, the pixels push in easy as well, they do need a frame to provide support.

Looks good, got me some of these as well, just trying to figure out where to put them,
I was even thinking of drilling out some more holes to bring the spacing closer together
 
I forgot to update this post so here is some of the pics / info of our 2020 Build.

One of the best updates we did this year was changes to our Mega Tree pole / setup it was definitely easier getting the pole up and down this year.

Really liking your posts , pictures and videos. They are well detailed and giving me lots of inspiration at the moment and Christmas has only just past.. I also use as much left overs as possible but a bit more caveman style which still gets good feedback from the viewers , but hopefully this...

Namely a MOAW and a Rosa Wreath.

We considered a couple of different ways of mounting these props as once fitted with pixels they have a little weight to them.

Firstly we thought about the 3D printed brackets which have been developed and shared within the community, then decided to go with the simple and we think effective path of using some aluminium angle, bolts and conduit as spacers between the coro and aluminium angle.

We have used this method before for mounting chroma flakes etc.

Now I wouldn't recommend this method as one did did become dislodged during some strong winds we had, but as this prop is only about 1 m from the garden bed below it didn't have far to fall.

For the Rosa Wreath located up higher, again we used the Brick Clips and some green plugs and screws into the bricks which world well for us.

One item we did use also was some of the GE Skinz on the High Density props as part of our Halloween Display
This pumpkin face was effective, however was a little tricky to fit and some of the holes didn't line up perfectly. If you are going to consider using the GE Skinz I would suggest purchasing at the same time and trial fitting before pushing the pixels in.

I have to say thanks to those in the ACL Community who provided assistance with this P5 build including advise, forum posts from DarylC, Derf, Lithgow Lights, Ben etc


Basics of the P5 Panel Matrix are;

56 x P5 Outdoor Panels
2 x Colorlight Cards controlling the panels via FPP on a Rasp pi

Then as year we got closer to Halloween we added some more specific Halloween coro props from Extreme Lighting Displays inc the larger tombstones and some extra spiders.

The tombstones we simply painted with some granite look paint like we did with our smaller tombstones the previous year, and the same as previous years fitted some simple masks over the stars next to arches for a "Halloween look".

Note the blue straps in the pic for the matrix did get replaced with wire guy wires also

We wanted to add a little extra to out Halloween display also for 2020 without spending alot of $

So we decided on 2 x RGB DMX controlled vertical fog machines.

These we simply mounted in cheap plastic containers and removed the lids each night

They worked well and a nice and simple addition to our display, here is a video of our Halloween display which shows the vertical fog machines in use.

The final addition to our display was the Bunnings Penguins.

A shown here, these little guys did take a little more work than I first thought they would be we think they turned out great.
