Here lies the interest thread for the upcoming Brisbane Mini to be held at the Gold Coast.
The date looks to be the 30th of April to the 1st of May 2016 (labour Day long weekend QLD)
As host this is about the only weekend I have found myself with not too much on.

As per our previous years events the format will be based on some classroom presentations but
will mainly revolve around practical demonstrations on connecting up lights to controllers and controlling them with different software.

What is a mini?

A mini is an expo that is put together by long standing members of the animated Christmas Lighting community to help share ideas and give people new to the hobby a chance to get some hands on experience. Everyone always walks away with more knowledge from the experience, well worth making the effort.



Primary details so far are:

Date: 30th of April - 1st May 2016 CONFIRMED

Location: Upper Commera Community Hall Centre CONFIRMED
90 Reserve Rd, Upper Coomera

Price: $20 for weekend. $10 Per day for lunch deal from takeaway

Time 8:30 - 4:30

I'm interested but only if Supersteve limits the amount of "not too much on" that he limits himself to and also if the proposed Coffee and Biscuit consuming for beginners could be scheduled at the same time as a Coke Zero and Tim Tam consuming for advanced users.

Now let me see, 10 mins from home I guess I should try and make an effort. :D


Of coarse I'll be there and may have the CFO with me again and a new convert as well but will confirm in the next couple of days.

Bugger I'm on shift that weekend. I know I'm having holiday around there somewhere but haven't put in for them yet.


I'll get back to you. Might have to do a Sydney or Melbourne one.
