Hi all,

Im currently running black chtomatrim down the vertical pieces of my house no issue at all.. but for horizontal postion they flop around and dont stay flat.. ive seen alot use pvc pipe and cable tied to give it stiffness and strenght.. My question is wat size pvc pipe do most use and what kind of clips do you mount these bad boys onto the house with

many thanks

pete

25mm conduit and cable tie mounts that are siliconed in place.

I think we all pretty much do it the same all over the world
i use the same idea under gutters over the roof bla bla
magnets i recess into the clip/holder and hot glue ... on the roof ill add more clips / closer centers as its a pressed tin tile roof with know clean flat areas to hold to ... 500/600mm center to center ... still standing after 80kmh winds :p
the other clips i just 3D print for cable management for what fits what at the time

To install my icicles I put rivet nuts in the trim and just screw everything up. When I take the icicles down you can barely notice anything

Doing mine like this right now using 25mm conduit.

does our back of the wries rub up aginst the house ?
yes I had the same problem , my solution was to make a small 3D printed stand off for standard 20mm Conduit Mounting Clips
I use the 20mm conduit ,seems to work quite ok , the base spans standard gaps between bricks as I didn't want to drill into the brick and the gap underneath fits over the ridge in my fascia which I put rivet nuts in
