Yes yes yes yes all answers are correct I myself am well experienced at drying out electrical plugs etc mostly in automotive applications but yes also with the lights always my first line of action yes compressed air or if unavailable hair dryer is great ! then cheap contact cleaner spray I dont waste money on expensive spray cans ! and then once again yes a little spray of wd40 , crc , penetrating oil , etc etc pretty much whatever I have at particular time to stop oxidisation rust or tarnishing .
No big deal easily fixed
