so i can use the 3 core pigtails to send the data too as long as i keep the wires the same? So i have red, blue, green...I can use:

PS-> 2811 strip
------------------
Red->Red for V+
Black->Green for Ground
Blue-> Blue for Data

Yes, just make sure what ever colours you use that you standardise using those colours. So what you have chosen will work perfectly

so i set my NIC to the same IP as the P2 which was 10.10.10.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0 and it should work?

The PC and P2 need to have the same IP range (10.10.10.x), but different addresses (10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.2 for example). No two items on a network can have the exact same IP address.
