Do yourself a favour and choose one place to set the zig zag. Don’t do it in both.

according to the node layout you posted you have 15 controller connections, Is that correct?
As you have 15 strings defined in xlights in your matrix setup.
How many physical connections do you have connected to your pixel controller for this matrix, that will be your string count to set in the xlights matrix settings. I think (note I am also a new user, so this info could be incorrect).

Sorry David, I had your matrix the wron way round in my head, please disregard my previous setup comments.

The physical design of your matrix, do you have 10 lights going up then 10 down then 10 up etc ? If so then Leave the setup as your 15 strings with 10 lights per string and 1 strand per string in Xlights and put the zigzag on the controller to 10. Hopefully that will work.
