Ladies and Gents,

Through discussions within chat over the past week or so, people mentioned that the LSP tutorials needed to be updated as they may not actually capture what is possible to be done with the software in its current iteration.

I know for fact that newer user knowledge base tutorials are being produced but cannot give a timeline as to when these will be freely available through the LSP website.

So in an attempt to fill the current void, I made a suggestion that we convene online tutorials so people could join and ask questions as the demonstration goes on. Whilst I am by no means an expert in LSP, I am more then happy to provide my time to do this for anyone that may be interested.

As I dont really know at what level or what angle to start, can I ask that anyone that would be interested in this occurring, please make note below as to what you would like coverred or what you would like demonstrated.

The plan of attack will be utilising the TeamViewer meeting function and sharing my desktop (or any other presenters desktop). This will allow people to live chat whilst the demo is occurring.

Suggested topics thus far:
Basic setup
Simple Effects. (Fades with twinkle and shimmer etc)
Macros
Matricies
Video within Matricies

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

Your time and effort in doing this is greatly appreciated. 8)

Now is a good opportunity for people to speak up about what they want to see so Matt can prepare online training based on user needs.
I will help Matt where needed

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

I'll put my hand up to be in this. I'd like to see how much power macro's really have, especially when cascaded. I feel I'm only using a very small amount of what I can achieve.

Kudos to you for offering :D

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

Given my good fortune at the Adelaide Mini, I guess it's only fair that I learn to use the software, eh Matt? ;)

My level of expertise so far is ............... pretty-well zero - I can start the program and I managed to create a new sequence, but I have no idea what I'm doing yet.

So a brief "Getting Started" session would probably be a good place to start.

Thanks for the offer, Matt.

Dave

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

matt would love to see about adding video on a matrix. as much info on macro's

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

Lesson 101, Sequencing without relying on timing marks seems to be a big one at the moment

I wasnt going to cover LOR software Steve. Just LSP :p

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

Matt
I would love to see more about how to get timing marks to match a specific songs beat or tempo.

Re: LightShowPro Online Conferences/Training

Would like to see about getting the most out of macros and combining macros as I too think I am only using them to a limited degree. Even going over some of the basics like combining effects etc ..... like you helped me with the other night Matt when you showed me how to get a fading twinkle. Some options are hard to find or only appear if you do things in a particular order i.e do the fade first and then, properties, then apply the twinkle ( as opposed to doing the twinkle first only to find no option under properties to then apply a fade).

Thanks for suggesting this idea. That's very generous of you to take the time to help us LSP noobs out. I have watched some of fasteddys excellent LSP tutorial videos over and over again and having resources like these available is a huge help.

Hey Matt, I think you have covered everything that I have wanted to know, and thank you for your kind gesture in doing this for all us newbies! 8)

This will be great for everyone, I think new users will get a lot out of it and I bet current will also get a lot out it. You can never learn to much....

Thanks again :)
