ok, so my display is a bit diffirent, i have 2 sides to my house the side yard and the front yard

the side yard will be a walk through display with archway lights, displays, projectors, blowups, etc

now i am using a DC-2-24 and ws2811dc2-30 do conntrol most of it and will possibly be adding Baldrick switches to control all the non DC lights, and blowups

now i have diffirent layouts setup one for the side yard with 2 channel DC lights on xlights and will prob add the switch controls to that layout too, but what i want to know is, if i make a sequence for the side yard, and want to front yard to be to music every half hour and a generic display until show time

can i have them both on the one player ?

what i want to achieve

the side yard will be a static sequnce just changin the DC lights and keeping the Inflatables and floods to the cutouts going

now when the front yard show starts every 1/2 mins

i want to know can i tell the side yard static display to run a modified version of its sequences that will be the same but with all brightness to about 10% so the sids yard doesnt over shaddow the main front yard during musical sequences

currently using all FPP based controllers,

i want the side yard to run just 1 basic sequence all the time, but when the musical fornt yard is set to run, i want the side yard to run a dimmed version of the same sequence

then when the musical show stops, go back to normal

the front yard will be a basic sequence, until every 1/2 hr then it will run 1 musical sequence, then stop and go back to the basic sequence until the next show time

can i do all this from 1 player or from xscheduele . or do i need a player for each section as currently i use my main pc to layout and program the front yard and i have a NUC that has xlights and it has the layout and sequences for the side yard display

i would prefer to only use 1 player / schedueler -if possible

1. Do you have a separate player for the side yard? If so, you can make two versions of the static sequences and schedule the dim version for the same time as your front yard is playing their sequences.

2. Since you are running all FPP based controllers, check out the brightness control plugin. You could either schedule the command or use the front "player" FPP to send FPP commands to the side yard controllers. I don't do this so just pointing the direction

3. Also since you have all FPP controllers, they have copies of the sequences. The sequences can be triggered by the player if in player/remote modes. When you make the front yard sequence, make the side yard sequence at the same time but dimmed. So, your playlist might be something like:

playsong1sideyarddimmed (5 mins)
playsong2sideyarddimmed (5 mins)
playsoothingbackgroundstatic (20 mins)

None of the sequences would have side yard dancing to the music. This is the one "player" solution.

i currently have a PI with FPP as a seperate player for the side yard
and my front yard is currently controlled via xschedule, but im thinking this year ill run FPP scheduele
so if i put all sequences on all controllers, i can get one controller to tell others to play certain sequences at certain times?

this would mean i can have 1 primary player and make the side yard a remote only ?

I run two shows as one show. Xlights and vixen sequences running together. I just name them all the same thing and use remote/master control. When the master player calls for xyz sequence, xyz sequence (even though it's made in xlights) will run on the remote player. You may be able to do something like that?
