Now that I have gotten my head around the software side of controlling pixels with Xlights/Falcon Player etc. and most importantly have the ok from the minister of finance since she liked the way the mega tree and small matrix(30x30 pixels) looked.
I thought it would be best to get some input from all the knowledge on here before I go ordering any LED's from Ray Wu, the area that I want to cover with the matrix is 5500mm wide x 1600mm high and facing west so gets the full summer sun in the afternoons.
The options that I have thought of so far are:
1/ pixel strips 5m wide x 20 rows attached to a frame made using 20mm PVC pipe using cable ties

2/ 100 nodes spread over 5m x 20 rows attached to a frame using 25mm PVC pipe with holes drilled for each node

both of these options would have the PVC pipe strung on vertical runs of 3 stainless steel wire in a similar fashion to this

3/ This option would be either 12mm pixel strips or 12mm Mega Tree strips from BOSCOYO, I would need some sort of frame on the top and bottom to run these vertically, mounting these top and bottom frames could be done using a fastener into the bricks with one at each end and one in the middle, I would use these nodes from Ray
