Uninterruptible Power Source?

I live in an area where power is interrupted a lot. The house has a backup generator but it doesn't kick on quick enough to stop the interruption to my 3 controllers. Because of my layout they cannot be combined to one UPS. Has anyone used successfully a small UPS that would bridge the gap between the outage and the genny kicking in?
Thanks in advance for your input!

Further to this question:
I am running 3 PiCapV2 (Master and 2 Slaves) <--can i even say that?
With a power outage the network goes down and requires a reboot. If i had a ups on the 3 Pi's would they stop because they arent receiving timing packets immediately or would they finish out the sequence they are currently running and then look for a timing packet for the next sequence?
They run a simple roof outline on 3 buildings currently.

depends how they are set if they are multisync playing from sequence files, they should just finish the sequnce without the sync timing(they may then be out of time), if they are DDP/e131 controlled then they will stop immediatly when the packets are lost

You could get a USB Power bank for each that supplies the right current (3A) and can be charged and run simultaneously. It'd be much cheaper than a bunch of mains UPS systems.
