Wanting to make a 16x50 mega tree

High density seeds = hard to repair, perhaps consider alternate node 50mm spacing strings if you want 25mm "spacing" between them.
Strip doesn't like being held under tension, tends to fail from being blown around
Bullet nodes, more expensive?

Moving more towards seeds here, light weight, smaller, cheaper, found some even brighter than 2811 nodes too with RGBW. Shouldn't catch the wind so much and act like a parachute.

From my experience of a seed pixel mega tree; great if you like the look, cost savings and small storage space.
But bad if you want robust and strong pixel strands and pixels to last.

Do you attach the seeds to guy wire? I would think that guy wire cable tied to the seeds would stop them moving too much, but I guess that isn’t your experience?

I don't have a guide wire.
Mine are overlapped in alternate nodes which has helped.

I chose to use 50mm spaced seeds on a 50 X 20 220 degree tree last year. I was disappointed with the resolution of the images so will be changing to 30 strands at 180 degrees for this year. The seeds were run at 15 percent (cos 30 was too bright) and used 2 ports with power balancing at 200 seeds. I had no problem with the strands moving much in the wind which got up to 47kph. I can't vouch for longevity as it was my first year. The biggest down side I can see with seeds on a megatree is that they give light in a 360 degree pattern and sometimes that caused light pollution to some of the graphics.
