What's wanted

Ok then thinking outside the box, Why could it not be a 'small' low quality download to the users phone app, that the device then triggers to play locally on the phone, like a pi master and slave, thus eliminating the delay?

Alan, I totally get that its more software than hardware.. :)
Something like this might be would be cool https://www.cueaudio.com/ but given this is a discussion about hardware might be best for a new thread.

Maybe a controller to run screens with DV mapping, so DV in and Pixels out. Currently most will use E1.31 in and Pixels out

One thing I did have in mind was an E1.31 controlled power relay for switching the power supplies in a controller box on and off for each show.

I've done a DMX version before and while it works well, it does require a DMX input which a lot of people have moved away from these days.

As in P10 panel screens? If so I'm pretty sure that HDMI -> P10 is actually pretty commonly available.

You are correct that they are commonly available for Screens, but doesn't seem like there are much offerings in the DIY world that could be designed more for how they are used by the community as it would be great to see something that would be more designed for pixel use for mega trees, matrices, light canopies converting DV input to E1.31/ArtNet which then could use existing controller offerings rather than designed for use with P10 or any other panels.
If DV support can be added to X-Lights and cheap DIY controller designed to be used with DV, then it opens up other ways of programming and designing a show.
If you have ever used Madrix which has an effect generator that can output E1.31, Art-NET and so on, but also be a media server which can be used at the same time then this allows for a lot of flexible programming opportunities and allows for easy channel management of larger pixel based elements.

The DV sender unit would just convert DV input to E1.31 and/or Artnet so these could be used with existing controller offerings to drive the pixels. This would then allow for a media server type approach to using pixels. The Hog Hypotizer controller does this type of media server mapping from DV to Art-NET/E1.31 and so on, but the cost for one of these is mind blowing..

Just trying to throw out some new ideas out there that may give us more creative ways at programming and designing our light shows

Servos like you'd find in a model car, plane, etc. You can get bigger ones of course, but they get very expensive. The smaller ones can't move that much weight unfortunately.

Forgive me for being simple- servo board is for a moving light-‘figure’...!?! Like a waving Santa...
You could use it for something as simple as waving but the servos are commonly used for something like animitronic faces.
Have a look at

to see some servo's in use.

RC planes I know. I have several...

Thx for the link, erm not sure what’s wrong with the vid links, but they brought me to a porn site...
o_O

Ok not sure what happened... but that was NOT what I linked to earlier...!

It looked like the original site had expired and had been replaced. @Benschristmaslights picked that up and removed original link on ACL and I found a Vimeo link to what it should have shown.

Any more new product ideas guys and girls ?

Is there something that you think would be handy but you don't have the skills to make it yourself ?

What about things for P10 (or whatever size) panels ?

I guess the data (ribbon) cable wiring is straightforward, but maybe something to make connecting all of the power wires up easier ?

Something else that had been discussed a while back was a relay to control the audio level of outside speakers.

It was to drop the level when no people had been detected (by a PIR) for a while.
