Software

Although Video mapping has been around for a while, its only just becoming affordable for the general user,

With a large amount of different products available OzAz has created a list of software used for mapping your house/element:

DynaMapper (at one stage called Projection Mapper) is available for Android and Apple, with 'in app' purchases of video and image packs at $3.99 each, or you can use your own videos or images.
There's a review of Projection Mapper on this thread post #8.

Costs shown in table above are for full lifetime versions (at time of writing, in AUD), several of the programs have monthly or yearly subscriptions. So theoretically you could map your project and then just buy the program for the period in which you want to project.

Hardware

See above review of Projection Mapper. Hardware required to run Projection Mapper wirelessly to a projector:
  • Chromecast $55, or
  • ScreenBeam $85
  • Tablet, eg: Samsung Galaxy Tab A
  • Projector - preferably short throw, high lumen, with HDMI input and USB for power
