Ok so first let me preface this by saying - i've left it real late. Tonight is the first night i've actually tried to test everything. We've had a new baby, and the wife and I have been really sick for the past two months. I finally resigned myself to not getting a synchronised show running this...
Thanks all,
although this is our first year sequenced, I've run RGB via an automatic controller (that just colourmixed randomly all night) for a couple years, so all the wiring etc was already done - i just had to get it to talk to the computer.
I'm running LSP - purely because its the first...
So we finally went automated... here's what we came up with for this year....

Damn. I'd thought the latch issue was fixed in 1.7? (here: http://auschristmaslighting.com/forums/index.php/topic,5424.0.html) so it was still present in 1.9?
Could also be the DMX issue I guess - both times i've come in to reset it the green LED was off.
Anyone nearby have one of these...
Hi All \ Alan,
I'm running a Mega60 out of the DMX output of a P12. I've had it running in testing for over a month now, but never ran for more than about an hour or so.
I did a final test on Sunday night, and my show commenced last night, and i've noticed that at some point after about 2...
+1 to Skunberg's post - I use white plastic picnic tablecloth and it works perfectly.
My windows are tinted, which I think prevents any BG glow, but it works well.
UPDATE:
So I've resorted to taking the icicles down off the conduits on strip 1 and 2. the strip no longer randomly strobes at idle, but it continues to pulse \ flicker when colour mixing at less than 100% (eg: during fade up in any colour other than RGB - so yellow, white, purple, cyan etc...
Sorry no - it's the 2811 strip that is lighting up randomly across the strip, i'm fairly certain the interference is from the voltage EMF on the dumb strings corrupting the data...
i've tried unsuccessfully fiddling with the data speed on the strip - so i'm now in the process of stripping out...
Ok - I know, its totally my fault. As a sound guy from way back, I know power cables are supposed to cross at right angles to data \ sound lines to avoid interference... I'm pretty sure this is my problem, and i'm wondering if anyone has come across it \ has an alternative solution to relocating...
I too am having the same problem here - i've followed all the steps up until now - hopefully i can grab someone to help me through it in chat...
Jeff did you ever get a solution to this?
So early february, I purchased a copy of LSP.
On Feb 10, I tried installing it and my license key wouldn't authenticate. I downloaded the license file, emailed it to support@lightshowpro.com.
Now - 3 weeks later - i'm still awaiting a response. I know there's a few guys on here that work with...
Thanks guys - I didn't really include anything that I could pick up at my local bunnings \ masters - i've definitely got Cable Ties, electrical tape and 240v extensions, and after several years of a 'hybrid' display (plug and play with RGB strip and string) i've got all the tools.
All my dumb...
