Other than the raffle on the Saturday, I think people learnt more with the hands on work done on Sunday.

Having that 824 pixel beast with spreading the pixels across two ports and showing how to power it separately from a different power supply than the F16 with PI was something that I thought was worthwhile to see in real life. The need to have power to the F-amps gave us some head scratching for a minute.

I hope we can other workshop days in the next few months, where we can all have some more hands on learning.

Once again, thanks to @BAZMick for the venue and @Superman for the big effort bringing all your gear in and doing all the presenting once again.

G'day All, thanks for all the kind words and very happy you all enjoyed yourselves. @Superman and I were chatting after the event and @bpratt you hit the nail on the head. Steve noticed how everyone of us were actively involved and just soaking it all in, the questions, ideas and laughter. Absolutely brilliant!
What if we arrange another Saturday and/or Sunday late August to late September sometime and we build a Mega Tree for one of us from"Go to Woah"?
A Mega Tree Build Party?

A Mega Tree Build Party?

Let's not just limit it to a mega tree build, but if people want to bring other stuff along that they're working on, I'm sure we could work on that too. :)

I'm thinking make it a One Day event, but with an option to extend it to the Sunday if we don't get the project of the day finished ?

After having to rush back home in the early hours of this morning to attend a break in at our home (fortunately turned out to be attempted/unsuccessful), we missed day two of the Brissy mini :(...but I want to say a HUGE thankyou to Steve for his presentations and Jarrad for his display and info on the Kulp/Beaglebone -but now I think I might not be able to live without one !. We both have walked away with some real world advice, problems solved, questions resolved and a double shot of enthusiasm to keep us moving forward. Really appreciated everything the organisers and sponsors arranged and their efforts. Maybe next year if another one is again on the cards I can contribute in some way, even if it is just showing a video of my first year light display ;)

Not a problem at all.

I did forget to say, if you order one please make sure you order a USB wireless adaptor as well

Thanks everyone for organising and presenting and Jarrad's genourous gift for the raffle. It was very enjoyable day, sorry couldnt make it for sunday. I look forward to next years Mini.
Your very welcome

Thanks Jarrad, I have the Kulp32 in my cart along with your sd card extension you suggested as an essential at the mini. Will now add the USB wireless adaptor too

I have great idea of me bringing a garage matrix and everyone help to push 15k of pixels for me.

Think of it as a training exercise

Make sure you add the SD card pre loaded. But this is not essential as you can buy the SD card locally and load it
