@bpratt moving heads have a limit how far down they point anyway, so mounting at an angle might be necessary in your case. MHs can be mounted upside down, so cant see any reason they couldn't be mounted at an angle.

From memory they are usually only rated for flat operation, either right way up or upside down.

I was thinking perhaps less than 10 degrees.

I understand the revolving mechanism probably won't like sitting at something ridiculous like 45 degrees though.

I've been monitoring the thread and the mounting posts made me a bit curious. So, I went searching. The Chauvet Intimidator User Manual says it can be mounted in any position. As would be expected, caveats are proper ventilation, secure mounting, and no physical interference amongst other things. As to the AliExpress spot; a web query of the brand and model led to a dead-end.

Hi @darylc, what was the diameter and the thickness of your dome? Looking to start construction on my own lights.
