    Raspberry Pi reliability

Would the Raspberry Pi 2 have enough processing power to deal with the ARP requests and not show this issue? Not that I want to try but I'm wondering if the additional cores would help?

    Custom palette

Anyone ever figure out how to create a custom palette or if there are any videos to show how to do it?

    Hardware setup of ECG-P2 video

I'm a video learner. Very helpful. I'm looking forward to the next video.

    Using cat5 cable for power

Careful on the eBay cat5 cables unless you know the seller and quality. I had one last year that was not twisted at all. Lucky for me a rabbit chewed it in half or who knows if my signal would have been good.

Mounting dumb RGB lights on wireframes

I was planning on using 12v models with this controller. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Easy-DMX-LED-controller-dmx-decoder-driver/701799_378111925.html Those 5v models will need a 5v controller of some kind. I like the idea that they face outward. I'm not sure on the water side of...

    Using cat5 cable for power

I have some of the same questions. I'd like to use it to power some dumb RGB nodes. I use it to power some MR16's now and it works great for that.

Mounting dumb RGB lights on wireframes

I'm considering getting some dumb RGB lights and zip tying them to some wireframes, both deer and some silhouette trees. Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts on how you think it might look? The only thing that concerns me besides painting the strings white is the head on the RGB nodes is...

    First order

Just for my curiosity. Why did you get that strip instead of this one? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/5m-WS2811-LED-digital-strip-60leds-m-with-30pcs-WS2811-built-in-the-5050-smd-rgb/701799_653641294.html

    LOR CCR alternative

It looks like about 50 pixels in the key for 5v. I can see now that there is a lot more things to consider when using 5v stuff. I need to do some more searching for WS2811 12v stuff. I don't recall there being many options. Also how long can a strip be before running into injection problems...

    LOR CCR alternative

That link added more information thank you. Now for a 5v question. I have read a few places where people have talked about having to re-inject power or power a string from both end when running 5v. Is there a way to calculate when you would have to re-inject power?

    LOR CCR alternative

I read a ton and watched a bunch of videos. What should we truly watch out for in 5v vs 12v? Are there wiring differences between the two or other things to compare? I'm a LOR user but with tools like NutCracker I wonder what you would be missing with SuperStar.

    LOR CCR alternative

I have seen the CCR's in action but I didn't understand that it's control was less than these. I'm not going to purchase any CCR's but I just want to understand before I make any test purchases.

    LOR CCR alternative

Is it this one? 30leds/m with 30 chips? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/5m-WS2811-LED-digital-strip-60leds-m-with-30pcs-WS2811-built-in-the-5050-smd-rgb/701799_653641294.html

    LOR CCR alternative

I'm confused. I thought the LOR CCR was fully controllable. On post #5 of this thread there is a link to a ws2811 as being the same as the ccr. Does the Ws2811 come in a white pcb version the same as the black above fully controlable? The reason I'm going down this path is I'm trying to...

    LOR CCR alternative

I have been reading this thread and watching videos in the section all day and I now have a question. Are these two ribbons the same except for the chip difference ws2811 vs tm1809? It just seams odd to me that the ws2811 strip is a meter longer, US $10 cheaper and would do the same thing...
