50mm 3m opaque tube - bulk buy

Any updates on this? i would love to know how it has turned out, i would be looking at 4 x 3metre ones if everything goes to plan, bending, etc, i will be looking at the sand bending trick too, lol, Hope this is a good thing,
Are they fully clear? or the white cloudy look? i would like the clear ones. Thanks mate.

Hi Mick,

I'd be interested in the thinner walled stuff as I think they would be easier to bend. It wouldn't matter to me if the didn't stay bent but look forward to your findings of the samples they send.

So the samples were already to send them apparently the manager tells "Wendy" that my order would not be large enough. MOQ is 5000m so that's a dead end unless someone wants to buy 1500 arches

Just had a thought..... The Tubing that comes with the Inflatable Pool Filters might work for this, hmmm now i am curious, i may have a look this evening, very flexible, just need some sort of support wire, now i am really thinking, lol

Ok found a new supplier for 50mm dia 1.5mm thick. They tell me it lets 85% of light thru.
I'm getting a sample to see how it bends but she can only provide 3mm wall thickness.

I am interested in how you go with these samples too. Early 2014 I contacted a few suppliers trying to get PEX Tube samples but didn't have much luck.

Ok found another supplier and this one looks very good. She is organizing samples but she hasn't got in her sample room exact size. She has 25mm by 2mm thick or 250mm diameter. She will try and source a sample from warehouse. I'll need to purchase 200x3m lengths but interest in here has already topped 100 so if all is good with sample, it will be a goer. At this stage the cost is $16 per 3m tube but I will confirm. Interstate people will have to pay shipping on top of that.

I have been told it will require some heat to bend. I'm planning on filling my tubes with hot sand from the BBQ and bending it. This should stop it kinking and soften the acrylic. I'll prob make a jig up, but we will see.
