hi, Just been reading through this thread and didn't see any references to LOR hardware or software. Old school stuff, I've been out of the picture for a few seasons and looking to restart again.

There's a reason for that @Jim hardly anyone uses LOR anymore. Most people on here are xLights software with a mix of hardware, with Falcon controllers being very popular.
I can bring an old LOR controller and a couple of lights if anyone is interested.

Regards Accommodation - I've booked into the Novotel Norwest, mainly because I got it cheap as we have an Accor card.
I'll have my car with me so can ferry a couple of people to and from the venue if needed.

ok on the first page I have added the round table and we have 3 so far so we would love some others to put their hands up for some topics otherwise I find it easy to appoint people to topics

We would love someone or even 2 people to do a small talk on there first year doing a display. they can talk on how they went and what they would do differently and any advice they can give to others.


This would be better advice then what someone who has done a display for many years as when we started it was totally different to now.

LOR gear can easily be run via xLights, so that should not be an issue for someone to show you how to set it up

as lithgow says we can help you out no trouble at all. i have used it in the past and can show you how to set it up again. if your using xlights i can do that as part of the round table I'm doing on setting up xlights.

also for those that are just starting out bring your laptop with xlights downloaded on it and that is what we can do. we can work on getting you up and running. also,have a photo of your house and a basic idea of what you want for your layout and away we go.
