Location: Sandringham College Theatre, Holloway Rd, Sandringham
Times: 9am-5.30pm both days
Cost: $40 per person (covers both days of lunches, drinks & snacks)

While there is still a bit of activity on the forums currently before many go into blinky hibernation for a few months, we'd like to annouce that the Melbourne Mini is planning to be back bigger and better than ever for 2024.
We anticipate the same venue, Sandringham College Theatre will be available to us again for the first weekend of the middle school holidays, Sat 29th & Sun 30th June. We will of course advise here should this change.

So for those that are closer to the borders or interstate and want to come on down and see how the southerners do it, we'd love to see you! Mark your diaries and book that annual leave so you dont miss out.

Dates and further details will be confirmed in this thread in the near future.

Hey @epasxm. Welcome to ACL.
We'd love to see you there at the mini. We do need you to register and pay upfront though please - Mainly for the logistics around catering - we need to make sure we buy enough food and drinks.

Only a couple more days to take advantage of free shipping to the mini. I will have lots of stuff there with some good discounts but as I'm staying in Melbourne Saturday night I can't bring anything down on Sunday that I didn't bring down Saturday morn.

There may well be a few ready to run pixel controllers that make the trip south with me.

Out of curiosity is anyone heading to the mini this weekend sitting on any blow moulds that they have retired or are looking at retiring? I've had blow moulds in my display forever and last year 2 of them succumbed to sunlight making them crumble.

Before about lunchtime on Friday. Earlier is betterer as it allows me more time to pack stuff up.

One sleep till the mini. Just wanted to outline a couple of bits of housekeeping of things you need to know

Registration and Breakfast is at 8:30. (Yes - we have breakfast this year -- (bacon & egg muffins)).
We will start the presentations at 9:00.

For Parking -- in years past - Halloway Road has had plenty of on-street parking (see the photos below). Will update on here and in Messenger chat if the new netball courts have changed that tomorrow morning.

What to Bring:

• If you are planning to attend the beginners stream - please try and take a photo of your house from where viewers mights see your lights. Also - if you have a laptop - try and install XLights on it and bring the laptop.
• We are going to have a buy/swap/sell table - so if you have some items you no longer need - can bring them for that.
• We are also going to have a "cool projects" table. If you've got something you've made/painted/assembled that you're proud of or think others could learn from - bring it along.
• Maybe a notepad and pen if you want to take any notes.
• Food/Drinks/Snacks are all provided

We are also planning to go out fro a Group Dinner on Saturday night. If you haven't had a chance to RSVP for that yet - please let Jason Hawkins know or reply in the thread here.

Hi all, I increased my number too two on Wend as my partner has decided to come for the Sat and check it out too , I did send a message to epasxm on Wend as he has a sesame allergy, but as haven’t heard back thought best to post here as well, also have paid for him to nominated acc .. see you all tomorrow, I’ll be there both days for my first mini, lots to learn…
