For those of us coming from other states is there any car pooling from Sydney Airport to Picton on the Friday the 25th of May and return on the 28th??

Train could be an option... Take the train to Campbelltown from the airport. At C'town switch to the Southern Highlands line. Takes about an hour and a half, Car would probably not be much faster.

Thanks for the advice, do you know if the train cost much? Just trying to estimate the costs for the weekend away at the Mini.

There is a HEFTY surcharge for beginning or terminating your trip at any of the airport stations... But I doubt it will be more than renting a car

Costco Sandwiches are great. I think we should have an entry fee as standard as the expenses will quickly rise. The cheapest route would be to bring the bbq throw some "Snags on the barbie" and just have an esky with cold bottle of drinks (If the host doesn't include jugs of soft drink). I could try get a day off and go do a shop at costco to bring some alternative foods for different diet requirements. (But for this I want to be upgraded to VIP front row seat badge. ).

I live 5 minutes from Campbelltown station and don't mind doing a trip or two.

we have a BBQ at the location and yes we normally have a small fee if we are providing lunch and drinks. the more feedback the more we can meet everyone needs with diets. at the same time we want to keep it simple cheap and easy

so at this stage we will lock in a bbq for lunch for 1 day at least. and if a few people bring some cans of soft drink as we always have done we are halfway there on the catering
