Sydney/NSW 2018 NSW Mini at Picton - May 26-27

I could present on converting store-bought lights to computer control with DMX. This is also a topic that I previously covered at an Adelaide mini. Based on the lack of demand for this topic in 2016, I question whether it is worth me presenting it to everyone when I can chat about it at other times. I would like to be scheduled to present on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning because of travel times for me to be there.

I would like to see Alan's board in person and have 5 mins to play with it as my old man wants to use the lights next year but I would like them to be controlled either turning them off when the show starts or actually controlling them to music.

I can bring some lights and a DMX controller to hook up with your computer (assuming it's a laptop and you can bring it). I have the 27 channel controller from Ray Wu but it has the same purpose unless you're looking at the DMX2-18.

What I mean was you don't have to switch your entire show to vixen. Use xlights for that if you wish then also have Vixen installed for the Messaging app.

ok guys we are trying to figure out what to do for food at the mini we have a few options and would like your feedback.

I asked the guy that runs the restaurant he can do platters that serve 10 to 15 people hot finger food platter for $59, fruit platter is $39, cheese platter $49 , seafood platter $72, sandwiches and wraps are $9 and $11 respectively each,
not sure if that's too expensive , yes I have a couple of bbq's we can use could just do sausages and minute steaks on bread rolls or whatever normally is done , other option is Costco if someone's driving by they do pretty big sandwich platter I think it's probably 8 or 10 sandwiches for $30, I can set up an urn for tea and coffee ,

just let us know what you think.
