Sorry guys I should say that I changed my username yesterday from gnarmstr. So for info I am one of the Vixen Developers and also created the SMS Messaging app that was displayed at the QLD mini and a number of guys used it over christmas.

I could come and do a presentation on Vixen 3 along with what's being worked on this year and also provide a presentation on the Messaging app as long as someone has a P10 matrix there.

It should be another good year for Vixen, not much will be completed by May though, but will show what we are looking at.

I have to convince the wife for me to come to Sydney. She has friends there so I told her we could all go and I will go to the mini while she sees friends.lol

It does require Vixen to be running. The reason is my app uses the Web interface, this allows me to use all the benefits of Vixen, like control my App from Vixen to use dedicated Vixen sequences for the message board. You can still use Xlights if that's your choice but just a basic setup of Vixen with the Messaging Matrix setup on Vixen.

What I mean was you don't have to switch your entire show to vixen. Use xlights for that if you wish then also have Vixen installed for the Messaging app.

But seriously, how about a topic on how to drive non pixel stuff. Has anyone done relays controlled by a Falcon, that kind of thing?

I could present on converting store-bought lights to computer control with DMX. This is also a topic that I previously covered at an Adelaide mini. Based on the lack of demand for this topic in 2016, I question whether it is worth me presenting it to everyone when I can chat about it at other times. I would like to be scheduled to present on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning because of travel times for me to be there.
